Checkups & Cleanings in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.
A routine visit at our 86th Street office covers a full exam, a gentle cleaning, digital X-rays when they're due, and a clear rundown for you of exactly what we saw. Every chair has a TV in the ceiling, so most kids are watching cartoons before they even notice the visit has started.
- Full exam, cleaning and polish every six months
- Low-dose digital X-rays only when they're needed
- Cartoons on ceiling-mounted TVs above every chair
- Brushing and snack coaching kids will actually follow
- A new toothbrush and a balloon at the end of every visit

Common questions
How often should my child come in?
Every six months for most kids. If your child is cavity-prone, wears braces, or is still building brushing habits, we may suggest three- or four-month visits and we'll explain exactly why.
Will my child need X-rays at every visit?
No. We take X-rays only when we need to see between teeth or check developing adult teeth, usually about once a year. We use low-dose digital sensors and a lead apron every time.
My child is terrified of the dentist. What then?
That's a normal starting point and we plan for it. We go at their pace, show them each instrument before it's used, keep the cartoons rolling, and stop when they need a break. Parents tell us all the time that the second visit looks nothing like the first.
