Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) is the gentlest tool we have for an anxious child. Your child breathes it through a small nose mask, feels light and floaty within a couple of minutes, stays awake and able to talk to us the whole time, and is completely back to normal minutes after the mask comes off.

Is laughing gas safe for children?
Nitrous oxide is the most widely used and best-studied sedation method in pediatric dentistry. It's mixed with oxygen, monitored throughout, and clears the body within minutes of stopping.
Will my child be asleep?
No. With laughing gas your child stays awake, can answer questions and remembers the visit, just without the anxiety. It takes the edge off rather than switching them off.
Can they eat before and after?
A light meal beforehand is fine and helps prevent nausea. Afterwards they can eat normally, though we'll ask you to wait until any numbing has fully worn off so they don't bite their cheek or lip.
